Taylor Swift got a surprising royal treatment ahead of her Eras Tour shows in London thanks to Buckingham Palace.
The Royal Family's Instagram account shared a video on Friday (June 21) of the Palace's famous Royal Guard heralding the arrival of the "London Boy" singer as she prepares for the first round of her eight shows at Wembley Stadium starting this weekend, per People. In the video, members of the guard can be seen in lined up in front of Buckingham Palace playing instruments as they put their own spin on Swift's hit single "Shake It Off," noting that it was the "Changing of the Guard (Taylor's Version)."
"Can't stop, won't stop groovin'," the royal family captioned the post, which even earned a "like" from the official account of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Swift has a long history with the city, once living there while dating her ex Joe Alwyn and referencing the U.K. capital in songs like "So Long London," "London Boy" and "The Black Dog."
The Midnights musician and Kinds of Kindness actor dated for nearly seven years before calling it quits in April 2023. While they were notoriously private throughout their relationship, some Swifties believe that the singer referenced her ex in various songs on her latest album The Tortured Poets Department. Alwyn also recently broke his silence on their split, hinting that "there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said."
